<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system and an image processing method that give no sense of incompatibility even when screens having different properties are arranged adjacently to each other, and eliminate the need for a large memory area even in such a case. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing system comprises a quantization unit 6 which binarizes and outputs multi-value image data, a feedback unit 10 which calculates a feedback value by multiplying a binarized pixel value of a pixel having been processed by a predetermined feedback coefficient, an error diffusion unit 9 which error-diffuses a difference between pixel values of a pixel of interest before and after the binarization as an error to a pixel value of a pixel not having been processed, a first addition unit 4 which adds the error to the pixel value of the pixel of interest, and a second addition unit 5 which adds the feedback value. The feedback unit 10 determines a feedback coefficient based upon property information corresponding to the pixel of interest. Then, the feedback unit 10 uses the determined feedback coefficient as the feedback coefficient used for the multiplication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
