<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a three-phase power conversion device, composed of three clusters each comprising a series body of one or a plurality of unit cells, that a breakdown voltage of a DC capacitor voltage of a unit cell needs to be designed to be high and the DC capacitor thereby becomes large-sized. <P>SOLUTION: The power conversion device constituted by linking to an electric power system a star-connection cascade multilevel converter (CMC) constituted by star-connecting series bodies of clusters as a series body of one or a plurality of unit cells and reactors is characterized in that when a momentary voltage drop occurs to the electric power system, zero-phase voltages that the clusters output are made substantially constant from a half period after the occurrence of the momentary voltage top until the end of the momentary voltage drop. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
