<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an induction motor that can improve precision when suppressing an overcurrent flowing to a power conversion part, and a control method for the induction motor. <P>SOLUTION: In the controller, a control part starts second operation by the power conversion part for attenuating a residual voltage of the induction motor and changes a threshold to be used by a comparison part from a first value to a second value smaller than the first value when a second detection part detects a supply stop of DC electric power, and stops the second operation by the power conversion part when it is determined from a comparison result of the comparison part that the size of a current vector is smaller than the threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
