<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas circuit breaker which minimizes inflow of hot gas without sliding an insulation nozzle with respect to a fixed support and prevents insulation breakdown due to DC voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A fixed part 1a having a fixed energization contact 3 and a fixed arc contact 1, and a movable part 1b having a movable energization contact 4 and a movable arc contact 2 are arranged to approach and separate freely while facing each other. A puffer chamber 11 having a puffer cylinder 5 and a puffer piston 13 slidable freely in the puffer cylinder 5 is formed in the movable part 1b, and an insulation nozzle 7 is fixed to surround the movable arc contact 2 at the tip of the puffer cylinder 5. A flange 12 is formed at the tip of the insulation nozzle 7 so that a narrow interval is held relative to the inner circumferential surface of a small diameter portion 9 formed on a fixed support 8 of the fixed part 1a, and a trench 10 is formed at a part of the small diameter portion 9 which faces the flange 12 upon completion of breaking operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
