<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat metal nanoparticle-containing composition in which flat metal nanoparticles exist more stably and reduction of plasmon reflection due to light can be prevented; and to provide a heat ray-shielding material which has high selectivity for reflection wavelength or region, has excellent transmittance with respect to visible light and radio wave, and has excellent light resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A flat metal nanoparticle-containing composition contains at least a metal nobler than the silver which is located near surfaces of the flat metal particles containing the silver, wherein an amount of the metal nobler than the silver is 10<SP POS="POST">-3</SP>to 5 atomic% relative to the silver and wherein the metal nobler than the silver is produced through reduction, by the silver, of at least one selected from gold, palladium, iridium, platinum and osmium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
