<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unfailingly prevent entry of a tab into a box shape part. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal fitting 10 comprises a box shape portion 12 of square-tube shape, a tab 11 that projects forward from the front end of the box shape portion 12, and crimp portions 14, to which a cable 30 is crimped, with a space therebetween behind the box shape portion 12.
