<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control device which even when a required torque changes significantly, ensures stable combustion by compression ignition in each combustion cycle. <P>SOLUTION: The control device estimates the next phase CAEX (k+1) of a cam phase adjustable mechanism 10 (steps 13 and 14 of Fig.6, and Fig.7), and in correspondence to the estimated next phase CAEX (k+1), calculates a correction required torque BMEPCOR used for setting a fuel injection volume QINJ so that a compression end temperature T_TDC at the next combustion cycle becomes a compression ignition temperature THCCI (step 15 of Fig.6). As a result, even when a required torque BMEP changes significantly, the compression end temperature T_TDC can be controlled precisely to be the compression ignition temperature THCCI at each combustion cycle. Hence stable combustion of a fuel-air mixture by compression ignition is performed while suppressing knocking and falme off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
