<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object recognition device which detects an obstacle accurately and at short processing speed. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing system 1, the object recognition device recognizes a recognition object by performing pattern matching by addition means 12 between image generated by an extraction means 10, edge enhancement means 11 from an image acquired by a front camera 2 and an image stored in an integrated image database (DB) 3 and determining its result by determination means 13.
