<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality image display device which is capable of suppressing the degradation in image quality due to brightness unevenness during multi-line driving, with a small memory capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes: a display panel having a plurality of light emitting elements; a scanning circuit which sequentially switches scanning lines to which a selection signal is applied, by N lines; a modulation circuit which applies a modulation signal generated based on image data, to each modulation line; and an image processing circuit which outputs image data to the modulation circuit. The image processing circuit includes a storage part in which peculiar brightness of each light emitting element or a value corresponding to the peculiar brightness is stored as light emission characteristic data of the light emitting element, and a correcting operation part which uses correction data calculated from the light emission characteristic data to perform correction for suppressing the variance in brightness among the plurality of light emitting elements with respect to image data. The correcting operation part calculates correction data from an average value of peculiar brightness of N light emitting elements for N lines simultaneously driven by the same modulation signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
