<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor display element allowing good color tone from gray to black and high reflectivity (contrast) and further being capable of developing any color by easy control. <P>SOLUTION: In a display element 10 where plural isolated display electrodes 13a to 13c are provided between a transparent substrate 11 and a counter electrode 15 and electrochromic layers 14a to 14c developing colors different from each other are provided in the plural display electrodes, an electrolyte, a metal salt compound and a white scattering substance are contained between the transparent substrate and the counter electrode, and black display and white display are performed by deposition and dissolution of the metal salt compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
