<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the breather performance by reducing inflow of an oil and oil mists from a valve chamber to a breather chamber of an engine regardless of inclination of the oil level in the valve chamber due to inclination of the vehicle or centrifugal force at turning of the vehicle in a breather device for a vehicle engine. <P>SOLUTION: Between a pair of inlet openings (15R, 15L) disposed on the opposite sides with each other with respect to the central portion (16) of a breather plate (12) disposed is a tubular body (17) having both end parts (17R, 17L) opened to the pair of the inlet openings (15R, 15L). The tubular body (17) is formed so as to be curved with the central portion (17C) lower than both end parts (17R, 17L). A movable body (23) is disposed inside the tubular body (17) so as to be moved inside the tubular body (17) by the inclination of the vehicle or the centrifugal force (P) generated at the turning of the vehicle for closing one inlet opening (15R or 15L) approaching the oil level (F) in a valve chamber (9) among the pair of inlet openings (15R, 15L). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
