<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate simultaneous and secure execution of a plurality of processes including a recording process. <P>SOLUTION: TS signal processing units A201 and B202 output video audio information separated from TS signals input from broadcasting wave processing units A21 and B22 to corresponding recording processing units A203 and B204 respectively. The recording processing units A203 and B204 perform simultaneous recording processes of performing processes of recording the input video audio information while recording the video audio information to an HDD 61. A video audio analysis unit 205 analyzes features of video information and audio information input from the TS signal processing unit A201 or B202 and performs an automatic chapter division process on the program associated with those pieces of information.
