<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoch-making polishing device that exhibits novel functional effects. <P>SOLUTION: The polishing device rocks a workpiece 2 having a curved part to be polished 2a that is held by a workpiece holder 1, while bringing the workpiece into contact with a polishing part 3 so as to polish the curved part to be polished 2a.
