<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device having a continuous flat surface of an interlayer insulating film in a display area and a surrounding area, and an electronic apparatus comprising the liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: In an element substrate 10 of a liquid crystal device 100, on a surface of an interlayer insulating film 72 (a first interlayer insulating film), first through-holes 72a on a display area side of a display area 10a and first through-holes 72b on a surrounding area side of a surrounding area 10b have openings in a density equivalent to each other. Also, on a surface of an interlayer insulating film 73 (a second interlayer insulating film), second through-holes 73a on the display area side of the display area 10a and second through-holes 73b on the surrounding area side of the surrounding area 10b have openings in a density equivalent to each other. Accordingly, when the surfaces of the interlayer insulating films 72 and 73 are polished, a polishing rate in the display area 10a and the polishing rate in the surrounding area 10b are equivalent so that no step is formed between the display area 10a and the surrounding area 10b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
