<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a rotation speed of an internal combustion engine to stop the internal combustion engine at a target crank angle. <P>SOLUTION: When an engine is stopped, a motor is controlled so that the engine rotates at a target rotation speed Ne* by feedback control that uses a proportional and an integral until an engine rotation speed Ne decreases below a threshold Href as an upper limit value of the rotation speed that has a great effect on the engine rotation speed Ne due to torque pulsation to be caused by rotation of the engine (S160), and the motor is controlled so that the engine rotates at the target rotation speed Ne* by the feedback control that uses the integral without the proportional when the engine rotation speed Ne decreases below the threshold Nref (S170).
