<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melt polycarbonate whose fluidity does not change unsuitably due to an undesired defective structure in a polymer chain. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an aromatic branched polycarbonate produced through a melt transesterification of a bisphenol and a diaryl carbonate in the presence of a branching agent, and has a branch point structure and a structure of formula (D) wherein X is a single bond, 1-6C alkylene, 2-5C alkylidene or 5-6C cycloalkylidene optionally substituted with 1-6C alkyl; the amount of D in the aromatic branched polycarbonate is in the range of 5 to 450 mg per 1 kg of the aromatic branched polycarbonate; and the proportion of the whole branch point structure to the whole structure of the formula D in the aromatic branched polycarbonate is in the range of 8 to 200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
