<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for adaptively acquire the diagnostic information data about an eye part to diagnose a plurality of diseases from the tomographic image of the eye part without increasing a burden of an user. <P>SOLUTION: A layer acquisition section 331 acquires a predetermined layer area from the tomographic image of the eye part, and a change section 332 changes an algorithm to acquire the diagnostic information data that is information to be used for the diagnosis of the eye part, from the tomographic image based on information data extracted from the layer area.
