<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb variation in the sheet velocity of a rolled material caused by the eccentricity of a reel to minimize affection given to an exit-side sheet thickness. <P>SOLUTION: A control device of a rolling mill is equipped with the tension reel for winding off or up the rolled material on at least one of the rolling mill and an entry side or exit side of the rolling mill. In the control device, a reel eccentricity removing roll 21 is provided for applying pressing force to the rolled material between the rolling mill and the tension reel. Pressing force applied to the reel eccentricity removing roll is adjusted on the basis of a difference from a reference position of the reel eccentricity removing roll and a tension set value set at the tension reel to suppress tension variation to the rolled material accompanying a variation in the winding-off or winding-up velocity of the rolled material which is caused by the eccentricity of the rolled material wound around the tension reel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
