<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment that is reduced in size. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic equipment 1 in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention comprises a housing 10, a device mounting section 35, a mounting member 41, a supporting section 56 and an operating section 57. The housing 10 includes an outer surface 11a exposed to outside, an inner surface 11b positioned in the direction opposite to the outer surface 11a and an opening 17 extending from the outer surface 11a to the inner surface 11b. The device mounting section 35 and the opening 17 are disposed side by side in the housing 10 so as to mount a pointing device 32 on the device mounting section 35. The mounting member 41 is detachably secured to the housing 10 from the direction of the inner surface 11b while covering a part of the device mounting section 35 from the direction of the inner surface 11b. The supporting section 56 extends from the mounting member 41 toward the opening 17 while having flexibility.
