<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal transmission device and a signal transmission method capable of transmitting an absolute value of an input value with few pulses, and assuring that a value which is obtained on the receiving side is a correct value in a short period. <P>SOLUTION: Pulses corresponding to the respective bits of a word with predetermined bits including information regarding the absolute value of the input value are sequentially transmitted. In this case, when the input value reaches a predetermined threshold, and when the input value does not reach the predetermined threshold even when predetermined time elapses from the case of the previous pulse output, length of the pulses is set based on information on increase and decrease, etc. showing either of increase, decrease, or no increase or decrease of the input value, and bit information of the word, and the pulses are transmitted. Thus, the information regarding the absolute value of the input value can be transmitted with the few pulses, and that the value which is obtained on the receiving side is the correct value can be assured in the short period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
