<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and promptly determine the position of a fold line when evenly folding a square paper sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A paper folding ruler 10 comprises a first ruler 12 having a first reference side edge 12a; a second ruler 14 having a second reference side edge 14a; and an indicating portion 16 having a side edge 16a (indication line) linearly connecting between a first reference point Q disposed on the first reference side edge 12a and a second reference point R disposed on the second reference side edge 14a to indicate the position of a second fold line L<SB POS="POST">2</SB>counting from the second ruler side 14 on the paper sheet P as an intersection point T<SB POS="POST">2</SB>between a first side X<SB POS="POST">2</SB>and the side edge 16a. Assuming that the point at which the first reference side edge 12a and the second reference side edge 14a are orthogonally crossed with each other is specified as an original point O<SB POS="POST">1</SB>,O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, the distance from the original point O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>to the second reference point R is three times as long as the length of the second side Y<SB POS="POST">1</SB>,Y<SB POS="POST">2</SB>and the distance from the original point O<SB POS="POST">1</SB>to the first reference point Q is equal to the length of the first side X<SB POS="POST">1</SB>,X<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and the end point of the first side X<SB POS="POST">1</SB>which is opposite to the second ruler side is determined as the first reference point Q. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
