<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adamantane derivative having excellent optical characteristics such as light resistance, mechanical properties such as heat resistance, adhesion properties, etching resistance and the like, to provide a method for producing the same, to provide a resin composition containing the derivative and to provide a cured product using the derivative. <P>SOLUTION: The adamantane derivative contains a specified adamantane skeleton, e.g. represented by formula.
