<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having further improved on-ice performance by compatibly attaining "an increase of a ground contact area" and "an increase of edge pressure". <P>SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire, blocks are each divided into a first block piece responsible for an increase of a ground contace area and a second block piece responsible for an increase of edge pressure to share their duties, and the shapes of sipes are each adequately set on the surface side of a tread and on the bottom side of the sipe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
