<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce pattern transfer failures on a magnetic recording medium caused by uneven pressure applied to the magnetic recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic transfer unit 14 comprises a fixed holder 30 that holds a master information recording body 200 having a servo pattern recorded therein in the state of being fixed in an upper side, and a movable holder 40 that is located above (Z direction side) and oppositely to the fixed holder 30, and holds a master information recording body 200 having a servo pattern recorded therein in the state of being fixed in a lower side. By holding a magnetic recording medium 1 between the master information recording body 200 attached to the fixed holder 30 and the master information recording body 200 attached to the movable holder 40 and supplying a transfer magnetic field in the Z direction, the servo patterns recorded in the master information recording bodies 200 are magnetically transferred to both surfaces of the magnetic recording medium 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
