<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closing instrument for a plastic bag that prevents damage to a plastic bag, can close the opening of a plastic bag securely, and makes a user immediately aware of accidental drop of the instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The closing instrument 10 for plastic bag has a substantially S-shape as a whole, which is formed from smoothly continuous curved parts 12 and 13 at both ends of a straight part 11 formed from a metal rod member. By virtue of this shape, damage to a plastic bag 20 is prevented. Since substantially spherical metal protruding parts 14 are provided on both ends of the S-shaped part, the plastic bag is made less likely to be dropped. Also, since a sound is made if the closing instrument for a plastic bag is dripped, a user of the closing instrument is made aware of it. Furthermore, by twisting and winding a specific part of the opening 21 of a plastic bag 20 around the straight part 11, and hooking both ends thereof around the curved parts 12 and 13, the straight part 11 inclines.
