<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for compensating parasitic capacitance in a touch panel and an apparatus thereof. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding a touch display device with improved sensitivity and a method, the device includes: a touch panel that comprises a plurality of sensing channels, senses the change of a sensing unit disposed in the sensing channels and outputs it as a signal in order to perform a touch screen operation; and a touch controller that comprises a signal amplification unit for receiving the change signal of the sensing unit from the touch panel and amplifying and outputting it. The touch controller includes a parasitic capacitance compensation unit that receives a common electrode voltage as input in order to generate a charge amount equivalent to the charge amount of parasitic capacitance excited by a parasitic capacitor between the sensing channel and a common electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
