<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immuno-chromatography reagent for detection of Mycoplasma pneumoniae antigens that is based on the sandwich principle, and capable of rapidly and accurately detecting Mycoplasma pneumoniae antigens. <P>SOLUTION: A method for detection of Mycoplasma pneumoniae antigens that involves collecting Mycoplasma pneumoniae by ultra-centrifugation, and applying sandwich immuno-chromatography employing monoclonal antibodies as antibodies immobilized on marker bodies and as antibodies immobilized on incompatible membranes. The monoclonal antibodies are derived by using, as immunogen, protein in water-phase fractions from which ether-extracted fractions have been removed, and react with the 45-KD band isolated when performing an SDS-polyacrylamide gel (4-20%) electrophoresis of the immunogen in the presence of 2-mercaptoethanol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
