MAGNETIC HEAD SUSPENSION AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head suspension having tip-side support plates and base end-side support plates that support a piezoelectric element in an opening region of a support part without welding three members one over another.

SOLUTION: A flexure metal plate 410 has tip-side and base end-side center support plate formation regions 414 and 415 positioned on a tip side and a base end side in an opening region of a support part 10. First and second tip-side metal plates 100(1) and 100(2) and first and second base end-side metal plates 150(1) and 150(2) positioned outside the tip-side and base end-side center support plate formation regions in a width direction are fixed in a tip region on the tip side with respect to the opening region of the support part and in a base end region on the base end side; and the first and second tip-side metal plates cooperate with the tip-side center support plate formation region to form a tip-side support plate, and the first and second base end-side metal plates cooperate with the base end-side center support plate formation region to form a base end-side support plate.
