<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply configured float position sensor which does not require any particular adjustments when re-activating the power, even when the float has moved after switching off the power. <P>SOLUTION: A float position sensor includes a float, and a magnetic sensor laterally mounted on the float in the moving direction to detect magnetic field changes following a movement of the float.
