<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing apparatus for controlling recording through the application of decryption processing to broadcasting data encrypted on a transmission channel according to a data processing load. <P>SOLUTION: The signal processing apparatus comprises: retrieval means to retrieve first broadcasting data encrypted by a first encryption process; measurement means to measure a processing load of recording the first broadcasting data; determining means to determine whether or not decryption processing should be performed for each region of the first broadcasting data retrieved by the retrieval means based on the processing load; first decryption means to generate second broadcasting data containing a decryption region decrypted through the decryption process if it has been determined that at least some region of the first broadcasting data should be decrypted through the decryption process; encryption means to encrypt the first or the second broadcasting data through a second encryption process and generate recording data; and storing means to record the recording data, information on the decryption process, and segmentation information between the decryption region and non-decryption region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
