<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for wave-activated power generation, capable of reducing an energy loss in energy conversion, and also capable of sufficiently converting wave energy even if waves are irregular waves. <P>SOLUTION: The wave-activated power generation apparatus is characterized by comprising: an entire float 12 arranged on the sea surface; a power generation float 22 which can perform relative motion at prescribed inherent cycles with respect to the entire float 12 by receiving the waves on the sea surface; an induction electromotive power generation mechanism 120 which is attached to the entire float 12 and the power generation float 22 so as to straddle them, and generates induction electromotive power by imparting the relative motion to a load; and synchronization controller (mass-adjusting mechanism 30 and recover-force generation mechanism 100) which measure cycles of the waves, and makes the inherent cycles synchronized with the cycles of the waves. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
