<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an internal combustion engine, by which catalyst temperature is not made to rise when a load is not applied and thus, a catalyst is protected. <P>SOLUTION: A controller (15) includes an air quantity integration device (15C) calculating integrated air quantity (ΔGa) by integrating intake air quantity detected by an intake air quantity detector (22), when a shift range detected by a shift range detector (25) is a neutral range (N) and vehicle speed detected by a vehicle speed detector (24) is zero, and further, throttle opening (TA) detected by a throttle opening detector (21) is a value greater than a previously set second threshold value (Y2). Fuel supplied by a fuel supply (8) is not increased and not corrected until the integrated air quantity (ΔGa) calculated by the air quantity integration device (15C) becomes a previously set setting value (Z) value or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
