<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an etching residue of ITO likely to occur when etching a ITO pixel electrode formed on a coloring layer in a COA type liquid crystal display device having a coloring layer on an array substrate. <P>SOLUTION: In the peripheral area of a display area 25 having the coloring layer 24 a light-shielding layer 27 is formed on the extension of the coloring layer 24, and a protection film 28 covering the coloring layer 24 and the light-shielding layer 27 is formed. Then a cross-sectional shape of the protection film 28, which covers a peripheral edge of the light-shielding layer 27, extends from an edge of the light-shielding layer and tapers to a peripheral part. Thereby, a pixel electrode 30 formed on the protection film 28 restrains an occurrence of the etching residue of a resist and the etching residue of ITO caused by a steepness of the protection film 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
