<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air compressor that improves work efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: An air compressor 100 includes a compression device 110 for producing compressed air, an electric motor 120 for driving the compression device 110, an air tank 131 for storing the compressed air produced by the compression device 110, couplers 135a and 135b for extracting the compressed air from the air tank 131, and switching valves 133a and 133b which are provided in an air channel which connects the air tank 131 and couplers 135a and 135b. The control circuit section 150 of the air compressor 100 closes the switching valves 133a and 133b when a pressure sensor 132 detects that a pressure in the air tank 131 detected by the pressure sensor 132 is lower than the lower limit of a pressure range where a pneumatic tool connected to the couplers 135a and 135b is available. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
