<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush holding apparatus capable of down-sizing an overall motor with a brush by down-sizing an insulating substrate of the brush holding apparatus in a thickness direction. <P>SOLUTION: A through-hole 40 is formed at a fixing position of an insulating substrate 3 where a brush holder 4 comprised of a holder metal fitting 7 and a metal bottom plate 8 is fixed. The metal bottom plate 8 is disposed on a mounting surface 3a of the insulating substrate 3 so as to close the through-hole 40. On the metal bottom plate 8, left-side and right-side through-holes 23, 24 are formed through which left-side and right-side caulking pieces 13, 14 which are formed in the holder metal fitting 7 and thinner than a thickness of the insulating substrate, are inserted and protruded inside the through-hole 40. Protruding portions of the left-side and right-side caulking pieces 13, 14 protruded into the through-hole 40 are caulked oppositely to each other inside the through-hole 40, and the holder metal fitting 7 and the metal bottom plate 8 are concatenated so that the protruding portions are not protruded out of the through-hole 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
