<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of maintaining brightness of the whole LED unit even if any LED in an LED unit consisting of series-connected LEDs fails. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting device comprises Zener diodes 211-215 that are parallelly connected to LEDs 201-205 of an LED unit 20 and that pass current flowing in the LEDs 201-205 when any of the LEDs 201-205 fails, a current detection part 22 that detects current flowing in the LED unit 20, and a driving part 21 that, if any LED fails, performs control by increasing current flowing in the LED unit 20 via a Zener diode parallelly connected to the failed LED. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
