<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-step lock simple in structure for continuously opening an outer frame and an inner frame of a door (window). <P>SOLUTION: A multi-step lock has a fixed frame 10, an inner frame 30, an outer frame 20 attached between the fixed frame 10 and the inner frame 30, a plurality of stoppers 11, 12, 31, and 32 attached to the fixed frame 10 and the inner frame 30, two slide panels 41 and 42 attached to the outer frame 20, and a grip assembly connected to the both slide panels 41 and 42. If at least one grip 431 is turned, stopping protrusions 111, 112, 311, and 312 of the stoppers 11, 12, 31, and 32 are selectively engaged with limiting protrusions 411, 412, 421, and 422 on the slide panels 41 and 42.
