<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating pipe superior in the insulation efficiency, and a superconductive cable having the heat insulating pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The heat insulating pipe 1 includes: an inner pipe Ii and an outer pipe Io; a heat insulating layer 20 formed between the inner pipe Ii and the outer pipe Io; and a spacer 21 for holding a prescribed interval between the inner pipe Ii and the outer pipe Io. The spacer 21 is a linear body, and wound, for example, in a spiral state between a multilayered inner heat insulating material layer 20i in which heat insulating materials are laminated and a multilayered outer heat insulating material layer 20o in which heat insulating materials are laminated. The spacer 21 is arranged in the middle of the heat insulating material layer 20, so that heat transmission through the spacer 21 can be suppressed.
