<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition of a polycarbonate resin, being superior in light blocking property and balance of flowability, impact resistance, and flame retardancy, and a molding article using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition contains 2 to 25 parts by mass of a phosphoric ester flame retardant (B), 1 to 10 parts by mass of a ZrO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-HfO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>composite oxide (C) that has a mean particle size of 0.1 to 4 μm, and 0.001 to 1 parts by mass of a fluorine-containing resin (D) with respect to 100 parts by mass of a thermoplastic resin containing 50% by mass or more to less than 93% by mass of an aromatic polycarbonate resin and more than 7% by mass to less than 50% by mass of an aromatic vinyl-diene-vinyl cyanide copolymer.
