<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal pattern manufacturing method which suppresses thickening due to plating and can keep good plating performance, and a metal pattern. <P>SOLUTION: The metal pattern manufacturing method using electroless plating processing includes forming a pattern part using an ink which contains catalyst precursor for electroless plating on a substrate, and changing the catalyst precursor of the pattern part to a catalyst for electroless plating through an activation treatment.
