<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact Y-shaped manifold satisfying a pressure resistance standard, and to provide an air conditioner using the Y-shaped manifold. <P>SOLUTION: In the Y-shaped manifold 7 wherein center parts of an end of a cylindrical base tube 15 are pinched so that the parts are brought into contact with each other to form a pinched part 18, and a two-pronged part 17 in the shape of a pair of eye glasses, which divides a flow of refrigerant into two passages 19A, 19B, is formed on both sides of the pinched part 18, L/D is 0.3-0.5, when a distance between a pinched root part 20 closely kept into contact with each other by being pinched and a cylindrical part of the cylindrical base tube 15, is L, and an outer diameter of the cylindrical base tube 15 is D. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
