<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge pump type boosting circuit and a boosting method which are capable of boosting an input voltage to the voltage multiplied by an integer not smaller than 3 without causing decrease in an input voltage level at the start of boosting operation. <P>SOLUTION: The charge pump type boosting circuit includes: charging means for applying the input voltage to a first capacitor; double boosting means which applies a sum voltage of the input voltage and a voltage between both ends of the first capacitor to an output capacitor while applying the input voltage to a second capacitor within a first predetermined period from the start of the boosting operation; and triple boosting means which, after the end of the first predetermined period, repeats a step of applying the sum voltage of the input voltage and the voltage between the both ends of the first capacitor to the second capacitor, and a step of applying a sum voltage of the voltage between the both ends of the first capacitor and a voltage between both ends of the second capacitor to the output capacitor in this order. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
