<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying machine in which a mattress or the like is dried at high speed and sterilized to obtain cleanliness and a hygienic effect efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The drying machine is constituted such that an air-permeable shelf 2 for placing the mattress or the like thereon is arranged in a cabinet 1 for forming a drying chamber, and drying hot air obtained by a strong blower 7 and a hot air generation unit 9, is made to penetrate the inside of the object to be dried and circulated in the cabinet so that the upper part of the shelf 2 has positive pressure and the lower part thereof has negative pressure.
