<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer composition for an optical article, which can form a primer coat layer having excellent impact resistance, scratch resistance, adhesiveness and high refractive index without generating nonuniformity and appearance faults such as white turbidity and without being influenced by plastic lens materials, for optical base materials, particularly plastic lenses, having a high refractive index, and which has good preservation stability. <P>SOLUTION: The primer composition for an optical article comprises a urethane resin having a skeleton originated from polycarbonate and an elongation rate of ≥200% and ≤1,000%, a polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 100 to 4,000, an inorganic oxide microparticle, water, and a water-soluble organic solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
