摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell manufacturing method capable of transferring a vertically formed carbon nano-tube to a polymer electrolyte membrane satisfactorily. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an embodiment includes: (1) a seed catalyst layer formation process; (2) a carbon nano-tube growth process; (3) a catalyst carrying process; (4) an ionomer coating process; and (5) a transfer process. In the (5) transfer process, a polymer electrolyte membrane is brought into intimate contact with a carbon nano-tube and joined with it at a temperature equal or higher than softening temperature (step 112). Thereby, an assembly of a substrate, a carbon nano-tube layer, and an electrolyte membrane is formed. Then, the assembly is immersed in an alkali solution (step 114). Thereby, a zeolite layer or the seed catalyst formed on the substrate is dissolved and removed, or the zeolite layer is dissolved and removed together with the seed catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
