METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING METALLIC POROUS BODY, ALUMINUM POROUS BODY, ELECTRODE MATERIAL FOR CELL USING METALLIC POROUS BODY OR ALUMINUM POROUS BODY, AND ELECTRODE MATERIAL FOR ELECTRIC DOUBLE LAYER CAPACITOR

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum porous body for suitably use as an electrode for a cell and an electrode for capacitor having a communicating pore with less surface oxygen amount, and a manufacturing method thereof.

SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a metal porous body 3 includes a step for applying a negative potential to a metal layer 2 in a state where a resin porous body 1 composed of a urethane foam having a communicating pore with the metal layer 2 formed on the surface thereof is immersed in molten salt, while heating the resin porous body 1 to a temperature lower than a melting point of the metal, and decomposing the resin porous body 1. In the step for decomposing the resin porous body 1, means to prevent oxidization of the metal layer 2 is provided.
