<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for precise color conversion which use a small memory amount and makes good use of a color reproduction range of a display device as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: A color signal processing apparatus that performs linear matrix conversion in which 3×3 matrix coefficients are integrated for an RGB signal comprises an approximation coefficient storage unit which stores approximation coefficients of respective approximation formulas when values of respective matrix coefficients are approximated with an approximation formula including a value of a first color among the primary colors of R, G and B as a variable, a matrix coefficient calculation unit which calculates 3×3 matrix coefficients corresponding to the input RGB signal by substituting the value of the first color of the input RGB signal in an approximation formula given with approximation coefficients read out of the approximation coefficient storage unit, and a conversion unit which integrates the matrix coefficients calculated by the matrix coefficient calculation unit for the input RGB signal, and outputs a color-converted RGB signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
