<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of suppressing the deterioration of image quality caused by modification of referenced program diagrams. <P>SOLUTION: In this electronic camera, a CPU 48 calculates a correct brightness value (BV) on the basis of raw image data output from an image sensor 16, detects, on a referenced program diagram, a coordinate corresponding to the calculated correct BV, and sets an aperture value, exposure time and AGC gain corresponding to the detected coordinate to drivers 18b, 18c and the AGC circuit 20. The CPU 48 also determines a suitable program diagram that suits a subject field captured by an image pickup surface on the basis of the raw image data output from the image sensor 16, and detects, on a suitable program diagram, a coordinate corresponding to the correct BV. Furthermore, the CPU 48 changes the referenced program diagram to the suitable program diagram if the two detected coordinates are identified, and restricts the change of the referenced program diagram if the two detected coordinates are not identified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
