<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buried object marking tape which definitely notifies an operator of the existence of a buried object and can be used without folding even when the exact depth of the buried object is unknown due to a shortage of the buried depth in the ground, etc., or when an operator makes a mistake in researching. <P>SOLUTION: A buried object marking tape 1 includes: a pair of long tape base materials 2, a first fiber 3 formed longer than the width of the long tape base materials 2, and a second fiber 4 formed shorter than the width of the long tape base materials 2. The side edge parts of the pair of long tape base materials 2 are attached each other so as to form a storage space 5 inside thereof. The first fiber 3 and the second fiber 4 are stored in the storage space 5.
