<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment furnace capable of shortening the heating-up period of a workpiece when heat treated. <P>SOLUTION: The heat treatment furnace 20 is provided for heat treating the workpiece 2 while being conveyed. The furnace includes: a heating-up section 8 for heating up the workpiece 2 to a certain heat treatment temperature by using heated steam; a soaking section 9 in which, when the workpiece 2 is being heat treated therethrough, an atmospheric temperature therein is kept at a substantially uniform temperature by using heated air so that the atmospheric temperature becomes the same temperature with the heat treatment temperature. The heat treatment furnace is configured such that the heating-up section 8 and the soaking section 9 are to be separated to form individual sections when the workpiece 2 is being heated up in the heating-up section 8, as well as when the workpiece 2 is being heat treated in the soaking section 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
